Chef is someone whose main responsibility is to prepare meals. This entails studying recipes, setting up menus, and preparing high-quality dishes in ways that suit the requirement of the employer.
An Early Year Learning Centre requires the service of a qualified professional Chef in Abuja.
Location: Abuja.
Type of Employment: Part-time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create a regular and exceptional menu based on the Learning Centre’s requirements.
- Prepare food from the start to the end.
- Provide input in the planning for the purchases of recipes for meal preparation.
- Perform food preparation and set standards for high-quality food presentation.
- Spot any problems that occurred in the kitchen related to equipment and supplies and resolve them efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain personal and equipment hygiene – regular cleaning and disinfecting of work equipment like fryers and various kitchen surfaces.
- Maintain well manner personality at all times before the learners and other employees.
- Maintain quality of culinary and ensure dishes are served right on schedule.
- Ensure that only approved food items leave the kitchen.
- Check and report stocks and supplies needs to the Director of Studies.
Qualifications / Requirements / Skills
- Possess a minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate.
- Possess Culinary Diploma
- Possess excellent knowledge of culinary art and skills.
- Experience in setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes for young learners.
- Must be willing and able to arrive early in the morning to prepare meals for the young learners.
- Must have the ability to focus on a proper pressure environment.
- Possess the ability to work with an excellent work ethic.
